Our Journey So Far
Orient Enterprises Founded
Rajiv and team launched Orient Enterprises Ltd with a vision to bring Kenya's premium macadamia nuts to the global market.
Processing Facility Built
Constructed a 18,000 sq ft state-of-the-art processing facility on JujaโGatundu Road, Kiambu County. Capacity: 2,500 lbs of macadamia kernels per day.
FSSC 22000 Certification
Achieved FSSC 22000 v5.1 certification โ the global benchmark for food safety management systems based on ISO 22000. One of the first macadamia processors in Kenya to do so.
Global Market Access
Secured US FDA registration (No. 15993039961), GACC China registration, Kosher certification through the Nairobi Hebrew Congregation, and KEBS approval โ opening doors to 20+ countries.
Orient Chef Pulses Brand Launch
Launched the Orient Chef premium pulses range โ 1kg retail packs of lentils, chickpeas, beans, and peas. Grown with love, packed with nutrition.
5,000+ Farmer Network
Our sourcing network grew to over 5,000 smallholder farmers across Kenya's highlands. We provide agronomic support, farm spraying, biochar, and fair pricing โ directly, with no middlemen.
Tree Nursery & Private Label
Launched our macadamia tree nursery for reforestation and farmer support. Expanded our private label and OEM capability โ custom branding, pack sizes, and roasting profiles for global partners.
State-of-the-Art Processing
Our 18,000 sq ft FSSC 22000-certified facility in Juja sits at the heart of Kenya's macadamia belt. Here, over 120 team members โ 80% of whom are women โ process, grade, roast, flavour, and pack macadamia nuts and pulses for the world.
From raw nut-in-shell to vacuum-sealed, nitrogen-flushed aluminium pouches, every step is controlled and traceable. Our automated sorting lines, roasting ovens, and flavouring drums ensure consistency at scale โ while our dedicated QA lab tests every batch before it ships.
